Humanist Fellowship of Ireland

I have been a humanist celebrant for almost ten years now, and it is something that I really enjoy doing; it is more a vocation than a job as far as I am concerned. I am accredited with the Humanist Fellowship and am registered to conduct legal weddings. I am aware of the financial facts of life, so my fee will always be reasonable.

The role of a humanist celebrant dovetails neatly with my current roles of counsellor, mediator and supervisor on a BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Over the course of my career, I have had many other jobs ranging from garden centre owner, to drama teacher, librarian, publican and a stint working on a film directed by Stanley Kubrick. There have been others in between, but all of them have expanded my knowledge of human nature, my empathy with the human family and confirmed my conviction that, along with Socrates, the more I learn, the less I know.

I am an avid reader, a gardener and a campaigner for human rights and the environment.
